Notts Sport teams up with England Hockey
Added on 11th June 2012
To celebrate its new approved supplier status with the EHB, Notts Sport has unveiled an innovative solution which allows schools and hockey clubs to work together to provide first-class facilities without the need for upfront funding.
Through Notts Sport's Fast Track Funding initiative, the company will provide up to 100% of the funding for a brand new pitch, which can then be installed straight away.
The school can use the completed facility during weekdays, with the hockey club hiring it for evenings and weekends to provide guaranteed revenue over a set period to fund the repayments.
Notts Sport Chairman Shaun Patrick commented: "With an incredible season of sport set to inspire a whole new generation of athletes, there's never been a greater need to make sure sporting facilities are ready to meet the increased demand.
"Levels of interest in hockey are likely to be higher than ever after the London Olympics, so this scheme couldn't come at a better time.
"For schools whose sports facilities have seen better days, now's the time to take action - and a cost-effective Notts Sport pitch is the ideal choice for hockey, from the grassroots game to the very highest level."
Notts Sport already sponsors the youth hockey development programme in its home county of Leicestershire, and the company's new partnership with the EHB takes its backing of the grassroots game to another level.
Following the completion of each installation, Notts Sport will fund a launch programme of hockey activity, to be delivered by the EHB.
For schools, hockey clubs and sports providers looking to upgrade their hockey facilities, Notts Sport offers the widest range of FIH (International Hockey Federation) compliant pitches and continues to innovate to ensure the very best products for hockey.
Notts Sport's high-quality synthetic turf systems are also suitable for a range of sports and activities, including football, cricket and tennis, with performance characteristics individually designed to suit the specific needs of the facility's users.
Notts Sport synthetic turf comes in a range of 15 vibrant colours, meaning hockey pitches can be designed to match school or club colours, while fencing and other accessories can be included for the complete solution.
Customers receive free advice and support from Notts Sport's Design and Advisory Service, which provides expert guidance every step of the way.
Alex Teasdale, National Manager Clubs and Facilities for the EHB, says: "We're delighted to be working with Notts Sport on this exciting opportunity for schools and clubs to work together for their mutual benefit and we're sure the scheme will prove extremely popular."
Fast Track Funding seminars are a big hit
Added on 29th March 2012
It’s been a busy time at Notts Sport over the past few weeks as we’ve travelled the length and breadth of Great Britain to showcase our exciting new Fast Track Funding scheme.
All that effort has been well worth it, though, because the seminars have gone down tremendously well with the people who’ve attended. In fact, more than eight out of 10 delegates said they were considering taking advantage of Fast Track Funding after hearing all about its great benefits.
Fast Track Funding is a flexible finance scheme which means schools and local authorities don’t have to wait to achieve their ideal Notts Sport-designed artificial turf sports facility. Notts Sport provides all or part of the funding up front, with repayments spread out over an agreed period and the potential for the new facility to pay for itself through community use.
School and council officials were given the chance to find out more about this fantastic initiative by attending the free seminars, and in questionnaires completed after the events, 82% said they would consider Fast Track Funding for their next sports project.
It’s clear that everyone found the seminars useful, too, with 100% of delegates describing them as informative and the Notts Sport speakers as knowledgeable, professional and effective.
We’re glad our hard work has been appreciated!

FREE SEMINAR TO SHOW HOW LOCAL SPORTS FACILITIES COULD PAY FOR THEMSELVES!
Added on 12th January 2012
Schools and local authorities are being invited to an exclusive free seminar focusing on an exciting flexible funding service that makes it easy and affordable to achieve first-class sporting facilities.
At a time when public money is tighter than ever before, Fast Track Funding offers an ideal solution to enhance sports facilities with a brand new Notts Sport all-weather pitch – at little or no upfront cost!
What’s more, with most sports facilities able to generate revenue through community use, this revenue can either reduce the overall cost significantly or make the facility pay for itself.
To showcase this fantastic initiative, Notts Sport is hosting a series of 12 special Continuing Professional Development events for schools and local authorities across the UK throughout February and March.
With Fast Track Funding, qualifying customers won’t have to wait to secure funding for their Notts Sport surfacing solutions such as MUGAs, hockey pitches, 3G artificial football pitches or tennis courts, or spend time applying for grants to cover the cost of their ideal project.
Instead, Notts Sport will provide a flexible funding solution with repayments spread over an agreed period to suit their specific budget. So depending on the customer’s requirements, Notts Sport could provide full funding for the facility or supply part of the cost to top up existing funds.
Shaun Patrick, Chairman of Notts Sport, says: “These informative professional seminars will introduce our flexible funding scheme to staff from schools and local authorities to ensure they can achieve top-notch sports facilities for their communities – even in these times of economic austerity.
“With Fast Track Funding, whether it’s a brand new project or the refurbishment of an existing pitch, the new facility can be installed straight away – and we can provide valuable advice on how customers can earn additional income from their new sporting facilities, ensuring they start to pay for themselves almost straight away.”
Notts Sport designed facilities are the cost-effective way to provide a wide range of sports and activities in one self-contained area, and are proven to be long-lasting options designed to minimise life costs for the operators.
Notts Sport’s high-quality solutions comprise every component required for the scheme to create just the right performance for activities such as football, hockey and tennis, from base construction through to performance layers and synthetic grass surfacing.
The package of facility design options includes every element of the scheme including drainage, access arrangements, perimeter fencing and floodlighting. Even new car parking areas or additional non-synthetic turf facilities can be delivered as part of the contract and Notts Sport’s service.
And not only will customers benefit from Notts Sport’s Design & Advisory Service – provided at no additional cost to the materials supplied – but the project will also be put out to competitive tender among the company’s approved installers, guaranteeing the best possible value for money.
The company, which has over 27 years of experience in the sports and play surfacing sector, also assures full quality control throughout the installation through its free project management service.
The events are being held in Newcastle, West Midlands, Berkshire, Manchester, Exeter, Cambridge, Chester, Hounslow, Glasgow, Surrey, Cardiff and Sheffield.
